Rural Thailand Lifestyle Website Terms of Use
These Terms apply to the Rural Thailand Lifestyle main website at rural-thailand-lifestyle.com and to the RTL landing pages and forms at terry.rural-thailand-lifestyle.com.
1. About these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply when you visit or use the Rural Thailand Lifestyle websites listed above (together, the “RTL Sites”). The RTL Sites are operated by Parsons Projects and Construction Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom and trading as Rural Thailand Lifestyle (“RTL”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By using an RTL Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the RTL Sites. Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle personal information.
2. What RTL provides
RTL shares personal experience, rural-life stories, educational material, practical observations, reviews, resources and recommendations. The content reflects lived experience and personal opinion. It is provided for general information and education, not as personalised advice.
We may offer free downloadable material or email content. Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, using the RTL Sites does not create an adviser-client, consultant-client, fiduciary, employment or partnership relationship.
3. No financial, investment, legal or professional advice
RTL content is not financial, investment, tax, legal, medical or other regulated professional advice. You are responsible for assessing whether information is suitable for your circumstances and for obtaining independent professional advice when appropriate.
References to costs, earnings, losses, business models, tools or opportunities describe personal experience or general information. They are not promises, forecasts or guarantees. Results vary, and you should never commit money or make a material decision solely because of RTL content.
4. Free guides and email communications
When you request a free guide, you must provide accurate information and use an email address that you are entitled to use. We may refuse, suspend or stop delivery where a request appears automated, abusive, unlawful or technically unsafe.
Guide delivery is separate from consent to receive ongoing marketing. If you separately choose to receive occasional RTL updates or recommendations, you may unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us.
5. Affiliate links and transparency
Some RTL content contains affiliate links. If you follow one and later make a qualifying purchase, RTL may receive a commission. This does not increase the price you pay unless the destination website clearly says otherwise. An affiliate relationship does not change our commitment to explain what we genuinely use, recommend or have learned.
Affiliate destinations are independent websites. Their terms, privacy notices, prices, availability, claims, refunds and customer service apply once you leave RTL. We do not control them and cannot guarantee their content, products or services.
6. Rural Thailand Shop and Shopify
The Rural Thailand Shop link leads to a separate Shopify storefront. Products, checkout, payments, fulfilment, returns, customer accounts and store-related disputes are governed by the terms and policies displayed on that storefront at the time of the transaction.
The main RTL WordPress website does not operate a WooCommerce shop, cart or checkout. A link from RTL to the Shopify storefront does not transfer an existing basket or customer account from the RTL Sites.
7. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, RTL owns or is licensed to use the text, layout, branding, photographs, video, graphics, downloads and other material published on the RTL Sites. Those materials are protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual-property laws.
You may view the RTL Sites and download a guide for your own personal, non-commercial use. You must not reproduce, sell, republish, modify, scrape, systematically extract, remove attribution from or create derivative commercial material from RTL content without prior written permission, except where the law expressly permits it.
You may share an ordinary link to a public RTL page, provided you do so lawfully and do not imply endorsement, partnership or approval that does not exist.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use an RTL Site for unlawful, fraudulent, misleading or harmful activity;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, accounts, hosting, forms or data;
- introduce malicious code, overload the service or interfere with another person’s use;
- use automated tools to harvest personal information or make excessive requests;
- misrepresent your identity or submit information belonging to another person without authority; or
- use RTL content in a way that infringes intellectual-property, privacy or other legal rights.
9. External links
The RTL Sites may link to third-party websites, social platforms, tools, resources and services. Links are provided for context or convenience and do not make RTL responsible for the destination. You should review the destination’s current terms, privacy notice and commercial information before providing data, relying on a claim or making a purchase.
10. Accuracy, availability and changes
We aim to publish honest and useful information, but we do not promise that every item is complete, current or error-free. Rural life, online services, prices, regulations and third-party offers can change. You should verify information that matters to a decision.
We may update, suspend or withdraw any part of the RTL Sites without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, compatibility with every device or continued availability of a specific article, guide, link or third-party service.
11. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to the paragraph above, RTL is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, or business losses arising from use of a site intended for personal and general informational use. You remain responsible for your decisions, devices, internet connection, backups and dealings with third parties.
12. Privacy and cookies
Our Privacy Notice explains what personal information RTL collects and how it is used. Cookie choices should be managed through the controls shown on the relevant site. Separate third-party destinations apply their own privacy and cookie practices.
13. Age and capacity
The RTL Sites are intended for adults. If you are under 18, do not submit personal information through an RTL form or rely on the content to make a financial or contractual decision. By entering into a transaction on an independent third-party website, you confirm that you have the legal capacity required by that website’s terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any non-contractual dispute arising from the RTL Sites are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, although a consumer may also have mandatory rights to bring proceedings in the part of the United Kingdom where they live.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so that we have a reasonable opportunity to understand and resolve the issue.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the RTL Sites, our services or legal requirements change. The published version will show its effective date. Continued use after an update means that the revised Terms apply to that use.
